The then government of Pakistan was completing its tenure of five years in October 2007. According to the mandate the elections were be held within 90 days of completion of the tenure of government. The elected government was to lead the country for the next five years. The national elections are an opportunity for all Pakistanis to choose their government and to establish a precedent for democratic society in Pakistan. However, one of the key issues related to Pakistan elections was the growing lower turn out of the voters in the elections.
